BMW X1 India

BMW is a symbol of elegance and power. BMW is all geared up to strengthen its hold on Indian auto market in the luxury and performance cars segment. Mercedes Benz and BMW are the very well known brands in India, very close on sales figures and competing with each other for the number one position. In a bid to strengthen and take the success further BMW has announced the launch date of its compact and economically competitive SUV BMW X1 in India on 23 December 2010. They had planned to launch this SUV in January 2011 initially, but has pre-poned the schedule to be on 23rd Dec 2010 in Delhi. BMW’s extremely praised Efficient Dynamics Technology plays an element in the BMW X1 with the introduction of Auto Start-Stop expertise on a X product for the first time. The BMW X1 is also known for well-organized dynamics technologies which includes brake energy renewal, optimised aerodynamics, optimum shift indicator and on-demand use of ancillary units.

BMW has used the 3 series platform technology for the development of X1 and very much comparable to the X3 design and would be offering all the striking features of the X3 and that too at a lower price. It is interesting to note that X1 will be launched in petrol as well as diesel variant. BMW X1 offers a smooth six cylinder power, all accessible wheel drive, including a 3.0 liter petrol inline 6-cylinder and the other variant with 2.0 liter four cylinder diesel .The BMW with an average fuel consumption, according to the EU stranded of 5.2 liters/100 kilometers offering a highest standard of efficiency all around.
